There are many examples in various places around the Hackspace. Some are free-floating, some are attached to boards with Arduinos.

They are only suitable for low voltage and low current circuits.

Many people find them useful, but sooner or later their inadequacies will cause frustration. Examples: poor/intermittent contacts, parasitic capacitance enabling oscillation, wire inductance causing ringing and intermittent behaviour of digital circuits.

Fortunately there are easy, cheap and effective alternatives, as described in a skillshare. The skillshare handouts are available on the PCB Information wiki page.
