Description:

The long-term-loaned hoverboard has become unreliable and regularly and randomly powers down and you fall on your arse.

The battery pack has been taken apart and despite being fitted with a balancing battery management board the individual cells are at hugely varying voltages indicating it needs replacement as a whole unit.
Because an individual cell is becoming discharged causing the protection circuit to trigger rather than the battery pack slowley discharging there is no low battery warning beep before the hoverboard powers down.

A UK supplier will be used who claims the battery is made from branded cells.
Because of the volatile nature of battery prices the proposal has been written without a specific supplier in mind to allow flexibility after approval
