The idea behind this page is to make a list of all the admin jobs that need to be done to run BOTLab and its projects.

      • Ensure prospective members have a tour of the space and understand how it works
      • On request, send bank details to people who want to be members
      • Confirm that they have become members on receipt of standing order

      • Remove members from list if membership lapses (or check that they meant to let it lapse!)
      • Administer requests for keys (currently done by BV Studios directly, but we have to confirm that applicants are hackspace members)

DW proposes a breakdown into “jobs” as follows (one person might do multiple jobs):

  • Membership secretary - handles all aspects of membership (incl. subscriptions coming *into* the bank account and confirming membership for key applications)
  • Treasurer/company secretary - handles budgets, bank account admin, payments from bank account and submission of information to Companies House (including liaising with accountant to prepare accounts)
  • Chair - organises BOTLab AGM and Hackspace meetings, chairs meetings, nudges people to get stuff done ;-)
  • Secretary - minutes meetings
  • Events - organise (other people to deliver) workshops
  • Publicity - website, Facebook, Twitter, random enquiries from contact form
  • Sysadmin
  • Other random admin jobs?
